A breastplate for a Torah scroll, with a crown at the top, under which are lions holding the Tablets of the Covenant with the words of the Ten Commandments. On their sides are pillars and decorations of vegetation. At the center is a box for inserting the name of the weekly Torah portion (the box is welded and cannot be opened). Hammering, sawing and welding work. Partial gold-plating of the crown and the Tablets of the Covenant. Hallmarked silver with the sign of a bear, symbolizing the city of Berlin, and an unidentified artist stamp. Metal chain that appears to be original. Total weight: 200 grams, without the chain. 17.5 x 14 cm. Good overall condition.
