A complete set of the book Tevuot Hasadeh, by Rabbi Eliezer Deutsch, av beit din of Hanusovce and Bonyhad in Hungary, one of the foremost disciples of Rabbi Yehuda Assad, the Maharam Esh, Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried and other leading Hungarian rabbis of the time. 4 volumes that contain: part one, two and three – Lemberg, 1892-1897. Part one: [3], 147 leaves. Bound together with part two: title page is missing, [7], 93 leaves. Part three (on the title page is writing “I bought it from the Rebbe… [perhaps the author?] Yitzchak Leib son of Rabbi Yaakov Segal”): [13] 111 [1] leaves, (page 1 is mistakenly bound after page 2). Part four, five and six – Paks, 1900 – 1904. Part four (ownership signature “Yechiel Meir Goldknopf” and stamp “Meir Simcha Karan, ritual slaughterer and mohel in Lodz”). [5] – double title page with changes to the back, not found in records, 86 leaves. Bound together with part five: [5] – an additional page with Torah teachings by Rabbi Naftali Hacohen, av beit din of Mad is bound at the beginning instead of at the end, 80 leaves. Part six: [10] 88 leaves. Handwritten dedication on the title page from “Shalom Pollack.” Not examined. 2. Two large volumes of the book Maasai l’Melech on the Rambam by Rabbi Yeshaya Zilberstein, av beit din of Vietzen, one of the foremost disciples of the Ktav Sofer and one of the leading Hungarian rabbis of the time – first edition. Part one: Vietzen, 1913. [7], 314 leaves. Ownership inscription in pencil one of the first leaves. Part two: Ungvar, 1930. [12] 234 leaves. Ownership stamp: Yosef Shalga, Budapest. Conditions vary, various blemishes. Stains. Good overall condition.
