Auction 27
Lot 027:
A collection of important books of kabbalah from the collection of the chassidic kabbalist Rabbi Mordechai Moshe Karfman of Jerusalem. One of them is stamped with his stamp. 1. The book Maayan Chochma by Rabbi Noach Chaim Zvi, Lemberg, 1860. Ownership stamp: “Binyamin Wolf Karach in Anpei Huniya,” and his signature. An additional signature in initials. 2. The book Taamei Hamitzvot “That was written Rabbi Menachem son of Rabbi Moshe the Babylonian Rekanati with the book Be’erot Hamayim…” – Peshmishel 1888. Incomplete copy, from the end of the book. 3. The book Zohar Chadash – Lemberg, 1858. [On the title page as if printed in Amsterdam]. Interesting: at the beginning and end of the book, the leaves are full of a long manuscript, a commentary on the midrash Perek Shira, and an inscription “Because I heard from the righteous man Rabbi Shimshon of Shpetipka…” in which the writer relates a wonderful piece of advice of how to overcome unwanted thoughts. Blurred ownership stamps of the Beit chassidim of the Rebbe of Karlin, and one touching comment in the body of the book that talks about the great level of the Zohar. Conditions vary, good overall condition.
