Lot 215:
2 pretty illustrations of old rabbis holding sifrei Torah in synagogue, one Sefardi and one Ashkenazi, made by the artist Shaul (Saul) Rabino (Ukraine, France, USA 1892-1969). The paintings are realistic and stand out in their colorfulness and accuracy in details. Under each of the paintings in the lower right corner, the artist signed his name in foreign language “saulrabino”. And in the lower left corner under the painting of the Sephardic Rabbi registered “Solemn prayer”. And in the lower left corner under the painting of the Ashkenazi rabbi is written “our heritage”. Both paintings are framed in white cardboard. The size of the Sephardi Rabbi’s drawing – 52X46.5 cm (including the frame), 36X31 (without the frame). The size of the Ashkenazi Rabbi’s painting – 52X40.5 (including the frame) 32X25 (without the frame).
