Shot on the Orech Hayyim, by Rav Yosef Masas. Jerusalem 1967. With his dedication to Minister Dr. Avner Haim Shaki, signed by Rav Masas, with a small letter of dedication by the author. Rav Masas (1892-1974) was Chief Rabbi of Telmasan in Algeria and then Chief Sefardi Rabbi in Haifa. In addition to being a rabbi he was an artist and poet—some of his books are decorated with his drawings. Among his works are interspersed many poems which he wrote with rhymes and in beautiful language. Authored 48 books on halacha and Aggadah. Avner Hai Shaki (1926-2005) was a lawyer and public figure in Israel, served as Professor of Law at Tel Aviv University, member of the Knesset and Minister in the Israeli government for the Mafdal (National Religious). Generally very good condition.
