Lot 196:
First section on Genesis and Exodus, by the Gaon Rabbi Ze’ev Wolf Citron, rabbi of Darag. Blank front page has the dedication written by hand and signed by the publisher, the author’s son and successor, Rabbi Avraham Eliezer Citron (1857-1927), Av Beit Din of Darag in Hungary. At age 20 he married the daughter of Rabbi Shmuel Frankel and four years later, when he was still young, upon his father-in-law’s death he succeeded him, and served there for 46 years until his death. His son succeeded him, but was saved from the Shoah and towards the end of his life served as rabbi of Sao Paolo.
