With glosses and chiddushim by Rabbi Yosef Shaul Natanson. Front blank page has signature of Rabbi Haim Walpert with notes probably by him in a number of places. He lived 1860-1942, was the son of Rabbi Zvi Avraham and son-in-law of Rabbi Menachem Dov Regensburg, student of gaon Rabbi Simcha HaKohen of Dvinsk (the Ohr Sameach), rabbi of Libau in Latvia, author of Bechir Haim. On his gravestone in Kfar Saba is written: “the Rav judged the Jewish people for more than 50 years in the rabbinate in Dovlin and Libau in Courland, and left behind manuscripts on the Shas Bavli and Yerushalmi the Rambam, and the four sections of Shulchan Aruch.”
