Volime with four books from Rav Rosen’s library: 1. Toldot HaSar Don Isaac Abarbanel, including the lifestory of the rav (1437-1508)—a gaon, Jewish philosopher, commentator, who lived during the Spanish Expulsion—and a list of his books and his descendants. As well as stories and events from Portugal and the Spanish Inquisition, by Shimon Ra’avi. Only edition, Podgoriza and Krakow 1900. 2. Keset HaSofer, laws of Stam writing, by Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried, the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch, with the chiddushei Chatam Sofer—Warsaw 1899. 3. Zechira and Inyanei Segulot—Warsaw 1875. Inexact page cutting. Page 70 has a handwritten gloss by Rav Rosen. 4. Pitaron Halomot by Rabbi Shlomo Elmoli—Warsaw 1894. Stains and taped tears. Generally good condition. Stamp of “Avraham Aryeh Leib Rosen, Avdak of Moynshat and the Galil (1870-1952), a famous rabbi of Romania, son of Rabbi Zeida Yaglinzer (a follower of Rabbi David Moshe of Chortkov). He served in the rabbinate of Bohosh, Moyshat, and Topolchan during the period prior to the Shoah. Known as the Sha’agat Aryeh, after his eulogy on Rabbi David Moshe of Chortkov, Husiatyn 1905. Shot Eitan Aryeh released by Mossad Rav Kook, Jerusalem 1976. Father of Rabbi Moshe David Rosen, the Rav HaKollel, rabbi of Romania during Ceausescu.
