Two large volumes of the 4 Turim, handsome edition, quality paper, published by Anton Shamid in Vienna. Yoreh De’ah, 1811. 336, 10 pages. Choshen Mishpat 1813. 117, 182 pages. Separate cover for section 2. Cover of each volume has signature of Rabbi Meir Santi. Old, worn leather bindings, Choshen Mishpat the front cover is missing. Moth marks, stains, and damage over time. Beginning and end of book have moisture damage. Generally ok condition. Rabbi Meir Santa (1765-1832) was the son of Rabbi Avraham Yehuda Frishtat. After his father-in-law’s death (Rabbi Haim Tarne), in approx. 1810, he sat in the rabbinate in Nagy-Kanizsa, where he served as head of yeshiva. See “People in Tshuvot of the Chatam Sofer”, 12918.
