Lot 154:
By Rabbi Uziel Meizlish, a great student of the Ba’al Shem Tov and the Maggid of Mastricht. Cover has stamp of Rabbi Yaakov Zvi Katz, Av Beit Din of Sabaslo. A few bits of moth holes, tears, generally good condition. Rabbi Uziel Meizlish (1744-1786) was the author of the Tiferet Uziel. He was one of the first to spread the philosophy of Chassidut in Poland. On the cover is written: “he was certified by all the geonim and tzaddikim, and there were those who quaked to hear his words…” he was the friend of Rabbi Shmelke of Niklasburg and Rabbi Elimelech of Luzhansk and others.
