Rav Moshe Binyamin Tomshov (1878-1948) was known as the MAbit, was a rabbi and Russian-English Torah editor. Studied in Slotzk and Slobodka where he was the student of Rabbi Baruch Beer Leibowitz and Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer. He was son-in-law of Rav Zvi Yaakov Oppenheim (rabbi of Klem and founder of the Telz yeshiva). He edited the journal Yagdil Torah, published in Slotzk and then New York, and also edited a collection called Migdal Torah. Authored Shot Avnei Shoham. He participated in many Torah journals and sent halachic tshuvot to rabbis around the USA. Rabbi Elazar Meir Freil (1878-1934) was born in Birzh in the Kovna district, student in Sadova, and then Telz yeshiva and Slobodka. He was an American rabbi of Lithuanian extract. He served as rabbi of Manchester, Trenton, and Elizabeth (New Jersey). For 10 years he was rosh yeshiva at Yeshivat Rabbeinu Yitzhak Elhanan. He was an active member of the American & Canadian Rabbinical Council and participated in founding Ezrat Torah. Generally very good condition.
