The Hida writes about meeting him in Hevron “I succeeded to meet him in his elder years, and I enjoyed the brighteness of the light of his Torah and holiness.” RavElfandri was the first to sign the Hida’sktavshlichot when he left Hevron for Europe. | Signature of ownership in ancient Mizrahi handwriting.
