On official letterhead, from 10th of Adar 1957. On division of money raised from selling a synagogue. Good condition, filing marks. Rav Yosef Eliyahu Henkin (1881-1973) was one of the greatest poskim of the United States, many considered him the “Mara d’Atra of America.” Certified for the rabbinate by Rav Meltzer, and by the Ridbaz, Baruch Beer Leibowitz, and Rav Yehiel Michal HaLevi Epstein, the Aruch HaShulchan. President of the Ezrat Torah organization, which helped support thousands and to build apartments. Rav Yehezkel Sarna (1890-1969) was head of the Hevron yeshiva and member of the Council of Torah Sages. Stamp “received.” 21cm. Generally good condition.
