A rare historical document, typewritten on an official letterhead of the ‘Va’adHaKehillotHakedoshotB’Polin’ and signed with the committee’s stamp. The document is dated: 3rd Sivan in the First Year of Jewish sovereignty – 1948 and is confirmation that Rabbi AharonFreidenthal was ordained by Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky and is one of the pillars of the ultra-orthodox community in Poland. The document is signed by Y.P. Biderman and Rabbi David Cahana. | Rabbi Dr. David Cahana [1903-1998],rabbi, teacher and Zionist leader. A Holocaust survivor, he later published "The Ghetto Lvov Diary" in which he described the horrors of the Holocaust which he and his family suffered. He served as chief rabbi of Poland (1945-1949) and later as chief rabbi of the IAF (1950-1964) and as chief rabbi of Argentina (1964-1975). | 30 cm. Overall condition: Very Good.
