Lot 360:
Sofer manuscript, beautiful, accurate, and with vowels. Ink on thick, quality paper. Two columns per page. Includes things from the entire Jewish yearly cycle: Pesach Haggadh (with commentary in Hebrew and Arabic), Ashmorot, Slichot, prayers for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, Masechet Yoma, Keter Malchut, Azharot (for Shavuot), Hoshanot (for Hoshana Raba), Seder Simchat Torah, Birkat Rabim, and Masechet Avot. Special and rare characteristics in this manuscript include: in Masechet Yoma, end of the Chapter 6 before the last Mishnah, the words “Rabbi Yishmael” appear with the word “Baraita”—in the Cambridge manuscript and in all printings, it appears as a normal tannaitic Mishnah. It is interesting to note that Albeck (Vilna) writes that this Mishnah was missing in his manuscript, and in the one before us it appears as a Baraita. Also, Chapter 6 of Masechet Avot is completely different from known printed editions. | Ancient binding with geniza of previous bindings. [170] pages. 24x17cm. Generally good condition.
