Cover and introduction (four first pages) from Rav Ovadia Yosef’s monumental book Yabiya Omer, considered his main and most important accomplishment. He gives a dedication to Rav Zholti and also asks for notes and input. Rav Ovadia Yosef (1920-2013) was the Chief Rabbi of Israel, spiritual leader, and president of the Council of Torah Sages of the Shas party, a senior Sefardi rabbi of his generation, and was dubbed the Posek of his generation. His period was a golden age of Sefardi Judaism in the Land of Israel. In his funeral around 500,000 people participated, and it was the largest funeral in the history of the State of Israel. | Rav Yaakov Betzalel Zholti (1920-1983) was a dayan in the Chief Rabbinical Court and Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi of Israel from 1978-1982. Signs of folding and molding without damage to text. Generally ok to good condition.
