Ketuvim: Job, Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, with all of the famous commentaries printing with a separate cover page. Printed by the Shapira brothers in Zhitomir, 1857. Cover page has a long ownership note of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager, the Rav of Vizhnitz and the Galil. The Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager of Vişeu (1885-1941) was the oldest son of the AhavatYisrael of Vizhnitz. Starting in 1908 he served as the Av Beit Din of Vizhnitz, according to the tradition in which the son of the Admor serves as a RavTza’ir. In 1921 he was appointed to be the rav of the city of Vişeu, where he established the Beit Yisrael yeshiva where more than 400 bachurim studied. After his father’s death, in 1936, he became Admor. He was among the heads of the AgudatYisrael, and a member of the Council of Torah Sages. His bones were brought for burial to Israel, and he is buried in the Admor section of the Vizhnitz cemetery. | Moth marks, stains without damage to text. New binding. | 256 pages, 28cm.
