Long letter in 3 columns, Ashkenazi handwriting. Entirely in Yiddish, written in 1891 by the shadar Rabbi Baruch bar Moshe to his wife and sons. Given information and historical insights into events of the period. He tells them about the wars, the bad postal service. He stayed at the home of the dayan Rabbi Yehuda Amoyal Mogador. When he was there, Rabbi Masoud Abuhatzira and Rabbi David, father of the Baba Sali, were rabbis. On the back of the letter is the address in secular language, and an inscription. Signs of folding, light tears in the folds without missing text. [1] roll of paper folded into four pages. 20x13cm each. Generally good condition.
