On souls, reincarnation, and dibbuks. By the sage Menashe ben Yisrael, a head of the Portuguese community. Printed by the son of the author, Shmuel Abarbanel Soiro, Amsterdam 1651. Menashe ben Yisrael (1604-1657) was a descendent of anusim who returned to their Judaism and moved from Spain to Amsterdam. Authored many books in Hebrew, Spanish, and Latin. With signature of ownership of Rabbi Moshe Barabi (died in 1902), head of the Tunisian rabbis, student of Rabbi Avraham HaKohen Yitzhaki, the “Mishmeret Kehuna,” and rabbi of Rabbi Shlomo Dana, founder o the Hevrat HaTalmud yeshiva. Endorsements of his appear in: Chag HaPesach, Yeshiv Moshe, and Ko Lehi. New leather binding, handsome. Dark, thick, quality pages. Wide margins. A number of pages are disconnected.
