1959. On the page before the cover is a long dedication. Rav Zilber (1916-2008) was a survivor of the Mussar movement, a posek halacha and member of the Council of Torah Sages. Never held an official paid Torah position. Dedicated his time to studying Torah and authored dozens of books, most on issues of halacha and mussar. Every year he would refrain from talking for 40 days, from Rosh Chodesh Elul to Yom Kippur. It is said that his nickname, Binyamin HaTzaddik, was given to him by the Chazon Ish. Rav Shmuel Hominer (1913-1977) was a member of the Old Yishuv, and a mussar autho. Studied at the Etz Haim yeshiva, the head of the yeshiva (Rav Isser Zalman Meltzer) writes about him: A sharp and knowledgeable rav, notable for his fear of God and middot. When he was 26, he published his first book, Ikarei Dinim. Later many more books, including Eved HaMelekh. Binding and cover page are disconnected. [2], 86, [5] pages. 24cm. Generally good condition.
