Lot 268:
On halachot of Pesach. This is Rav Ovadia Yosef’s first book, which awakened a debate between him and Bavli sages, since in a few places in the book he disagrees with the Ben Ish Hai. Despite his young age, he stood like a wall defending his position, saying that wherever he pasak differently than the Ben Ish Hai, his beliefs came from clear readings coming from the verses, especially from the Beit Yosef. Great distress was caused to the Rav over that period, but following that his name became famous. Printed by Salomon, Jerusalem, 1952. On the page before the cover is a handwritten dedication, signed, to the head of the Etz Haim yeshiva. This dedication is one of his first, when he was only 30 years old. 18, 330, [2] pages. 23cm. Generally very good condition.
