On the page before the cover is the signature of Rav Yehiel Alshich, who received it when he came in 1st in the International Tanach Quiz in 1961. Above his signature are the sginatures of the participants from different countries. Rav Yehiel Alshich HaLevi (1915-1997), a sage of Yemen and head of the Beit Alshich yeshiva in Sanaa. Moved to Israel in 1949, and began working to preserve tradition among Yemenite Jews. Known for his expansive knowledge, chosen as the winner of the International Tanach Quiz for adults. 22cm. Generally good condition.
