Lot 201:
Carving work in stone. Made of an elliptical-shaped stone, with eight holders for oil carved from the stone in a straight shape, above which is a shamash. Length: 18cm. Width: 15cm. Height: 6cm. Good condition. Made from stone typical of Yemen, and the tradition is a long-standing one. The stone symbolizes the tradition the passage of time—stability alongside modesty and simplicity. Probably prepared by the head of a household and passed down to his sons and later descendants.
