Lot 256:
Letter on official letterhead, stamped, by the Ahavat Haim company. From 1st of Iyar 1948. On the first side is a receipt for a half-lira, received from Mr. Yitzhak di Aveila, signed by Chacham Menachem Menashe. On the other is a complete letter handwritten by him, in which he thanks the donor and gives lots of blessings. He lived from 1892-1968, founded the Ahavat Haim company, authored the book Ahavat Haim on the Torah. Student of kabbalists like Rabbi Shlomo Eleizer Elfandri and Rabbi Yehuda Patya. Rav Mordechai Eliyahu wrote that he was one of the 36 “if not the first among them.”
