A new year’s greeting letter, 8 lines long, in the handwriting and with the signature of the Rebbe of Karlin Rabbi Avraham Elimelech Perlow. Folding signs. Very good overall condition. Rabbi Avraham Elimelech Perlow of Karlow (1892-1942) the eight Rebbe of Karlin, son of Rabbi Yisrael of Stolin, served as Rebbe from 1921 until he was murdered in the Holocaust in 1942. He was in Israel when the War broke out (he spent four extended visits in Israel) and the Nazis invaded his city, yet he returned to his city in order to encourage the Jews and was murdered there by the Nazis on 14 Cheshvan.
