An autograph in the handwriting of Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv. Four lined notebook pages written in his typically crowded manner. The date which appears on them is Rosh Hashana 5722 [1962]. This appears to be a sermon which was prepared and never delivered | Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv [1910-2012]. Grandson of the Kabbalist, author of the ‘Leshem Shevo V’Achlama’. When he was only a child he wrote some of part 3 of his grandfather’s book, recording what the Leshem dictated. The Leshem refers to him in his book “Fortunate is the one who gave birth to him”. One of the greatest poskim for over 70 years. Known for his tremendous diligence and his deep and fundamental knowledge of all realms of the Torah, so much so that he could issue clear halachic rulings on any topic whatsoever. He later became the greatest posek of the generation. In the last twenty years of his life he led the Torah world in Israel and abroad. | Overall condition: Very good.
