Siddur Sha’ar HaShamayim [the Shelah]. Warsaw, 1927. A pleasant commentary on the prayer book, written by Rabbi Yeshaya HaLevi Horowitz author of the book ‘Shnei Luchot HaBrit’. Prayers for the entire year, with piyutim and the Pesach Haggadah, as well as many customs and morals of the Shelah, and other additions as the Shelah wrote in his will. | With a dedication from “Chevra Shomrei Torah from the city of Senetz” to their Rabbi “To our master and teacher, the great Rabbi, for a mishloach manot gift from the members of the Shomrei Torah society here in the city of Senetz, Purim, 5792 [1932]”. Stamped with the society’s stamp. | Rabbi Menachem Mendel Breznitz [1885-1944], studied in the Pressburg yeshiva under Rabbi Simcha Bunim Sofer, author of the ‘Shevet Sofer’. In 1908 he was appointed as Rabbi of Pest, and in 1922 he succeeded his father Rabbi Yitzchak Breznitz as Rabbi of Senetz. | Repairs with sellotape.
