By Rabbi Avraham Yaakov Gershon Lesser [1834-1924] of Chicago and Cincinnati. The first president of the Rabbinic Union of America and Canada. Defined by the media after his death as “The Elder Rabbi in America”. He died at the old age of 93, but more than this he was one who had acquired wisdom.
