The brochures 1,2,4 of the “Sefer Seder Shana Haachrona”, by our holy Rabbi, the Divine Mekubbal, Moreinu ve-Rabbeinu Chayim Eliezer Shapira, of blessed memory, ABD (who presided over a Jewish court) in Munkatch, whose holiness was immediately apparent in his holy ways. These brochures relate his holy discourse and the events of his life mostly from the last year of his life, from the beginning of the year 5697, and until the day when his soul returned to his Creator (2 of Sivan) in purity. By Yitzchak Adler | Rabbi Chayim Eliezer of Munkatch (1871-1937), who was also known as “Minchas Eliezer”, in accordance with the name of his book. He was one of the leading Admors of his generation, one of the leaders of the battle against Zionism and Agudas Yisroel. He was the leader of the zealous sub-stream, he stood at the head of the Kollel in Munkatch, supporting the poor in Eretz Yisroel. He established the neighbourhood of Batey Munkatch. He was a great Gaon in the revealed Torah and in Kabbala, and maintained contact through messengers with the famed leader of the Mekubbalim, Rabbi Shlomo Eliezer Eliphandri, also known as the “Saba Kadisha”, and even visited the Holy Land especially for the purpose of visiting him. He maintained great hopes for bringing the Redemption closer by means of their meeting, and even set forth a condition of their meeting – to have no other human being present during the rendezvous.
