[Moshe son of Menachem Mendelsohn, the father of the Enlightenment Movement]. | On the first Hebrew title page: “Printed according to the responsa of our Rabbis and authors”. Among the names in the list of “Our Rabbis and authors” the members of the Enlightenment listed: “The deceased Rabbi R”I of Volozhin” [Rabbi Itzele of Volozhin, who died several years before] and “Rabbi Menachem of Lubavitch” [The Tzemach Tzedek of Lubavitch, one of the foremost opponents of the Enlightenment]. There are those who claim that this is not merely mockery, but a forgery which was intended to cause the ‘Biur’ to be used into the Jewish schools. [2], 204 leaves; 348, [4] pages. 23 cm.
