Auction 13
Lot 332:
Manuscript from the 19th century written entirely in Rashi’s script, especially nice handwriting, with notes by the copier on the sides of the page. The book was common during the Middle Ages and tells of the life of Jesus in a disparaging way; the first manuscript of this book is known from the 16th century. At the end of the copy, the copier writes: “copied letter by letter from an old pamphlet, written anew, Thursday, 14th of Tevet, 1864, Itzik Fishel HaMaharan Erlich of Campana.” 15 pages, 23cm, moth marks and light stains, generally very good condition.
