Buyer's premium:

Authored by Rabbi Moshe Haim Luzzatto, the Ramchal, with 138 guidelines for understanding the kabbalah. With endorsement of Rabbi Yaakov Yosef ben Yehuda (the Rav Yevei—one of the greatest students of the Maggid of Maastricht) of Ostrava, with a dedication which had been removed in some of the copies of this book as a result of instructions from the censor written in the name of the Rav Yevei: “having heard from the Maggid of Maastricht that this composition is unparalleled in his generation, it is necessary to understand its righteousness…” 116 pages, 19cm. Last page is a photocopy. According to the Bibliographic Plant, there are claims that in the cover the name was smudged and was written Luzzatto, and in those copies there is no introduction of the one who brought it to printing. But in the copy before us the cover says Luzzatto and there is also the introduction. New binding, repairs to the cover and a number of pages. Page 14 is torn a little at the top with the title missing. Stains generally good condition.
