Rare museum-grade item, historical and special, writing by HaHida in the form of a song for a bride and groom as a wedding present. Special writing with decorations in color on the paper, in the center is written “Mafte’ach HaHida,” with a riddle by HaHida that hints, seemingly, at the bride and groom. Before the writing of HaHida, the author wrote a Hallel song to the groom, “David Shmuel, son of the apple of our generation, the great eagle, the Gaon, Rav Yaakov Pardo.” The bride, “the humble and chassuda, innocent and beautiful, Rivka, daughter of Refael Yedidya and Alinsin.” At the end the poet writes, “the happiness in your simcha is true…” the signature has not been identified. Water stains, with damage to text, signs of folding and tears, mainly in the edges. 51x35cm, generally acceptable condition. From a private collection. The groom, Rabbi David Samuel Pardo, served as rabbi in Verona, Italy. He authored a book of guidelines on the Shas and its verses. He was the son of Rabbi Yaakov Pardo, rabbi of Ragoza, Italy, a great sage of his generation. His son wrote great things about him in his book, Shoshanim L’David. Moved at the end of his life to Jerusalem, where he is buried.
