Rabbi Shimon Englander (1874-1950), a descendent of Rabbi Naftali Katz, the “Smichat Khachamim,” who moved to Israel in 1933 from Nowy Targ in Galicia. Famous for his exegesis Sha’ar Shimon, on the kabbalistic text Brit Kehunat Olam. 1. Kol HaRamaz, commentary on Midrash Tanchuma and Targum Yonatan, by Rabbi Mordechai Ze’ev Rosenthal—Warsaw 1904. 2. Amudiya Shivah and Pelech HaRimon, droshim by Rabbi Betzalel Av Beit Din of Slotzk—Lemberg 1887-1888 3. Chesed L’Avraham by Rabbi Avraham Azoulay, with Megillat Starim by Rabbi Shimshon of Ostropol—Lemberg 1860. Various signatures of ownership including those of Rabbi Shimon Englander and his forefathers. Various conditions, not bound, pages disconnected, moth marks, tape, stains and damage from wear, generally ok condition.
