Rav Yisrael Matityahu bar Nachman Zeev Auerbach (1839-1900) served as Rabbi of Busk and Govdzitz (Galicia), was grandson of Rabbi David Zvi Auerbach (also known as Rabbi David Zvi HaGadol) the rabbi of Kramnitz and Mohiliv-Podilsky. Father-in-law of Rabbi Natan of Breslev. Authored many other books, such as: Alfei Yisrael, Shomer Yisrael, Klalei Hora’ah, and Shmirat HaNefesh.
