Chiddushim on the Torah “third section from the book Hafla’ah,” 2 volumes bound together (section 1 on Genesis and Exodus, Section 2 on Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy). Ostraha (Lemberg). Second edition, first printing as a book on its own without the chumash. Book by Rabbi Pinchas HaLevi Ish Horowitz (1731-1805), the “Hafla’ah,” brother of Rabbi Shmuel Shmelka Horowitz from Niklasburg, student of Rabbi Dov be’er, the Maggid of Maastricht, and rabbi of Rabbi Moshe Sofer, the Hatam Sofer. First cover, first two pages, and last page are all missing and taped in, signatures and stamps of ownership. Binding disconnected and defective. Moth marks and light moisture stains. Generally good condition.
