Written in one hand throughout on red/brown leather parchment. A large cattle, as was the custom in Yemen to use every part of the skin, and they wrote on the exterior portion, which caused the unusual coloring. According to the shape of the pey, and some of the crooked letters, the writing before us was done in Yemen 250-300 years ago, because this style was according to the Rambam (for comprehensive research, see the study done by Professor Aharon Gimni in his book “Shifts in the History of the Jews of Yemen,” page 21, and his book “Khavatzelet HaSharon,” pages 29-34. Given in a case not from the period, size of the scroll is 50cm, 54 lines per column.
