An Halachic question in Yiddish from the community “Kahal Edat Yeshurun Erte, from the Holy Community of Satmer@ with the signatures of the heads of the community 4. A receipt for Rabbi Sperber on the purchase of a Sukka. 5. Letter sent to the Rabbi in 1948. Unidentified signature. 6. A recommendation letter for Rabbi Moshe Green from the Holy Community of Timisoara (Romania), to the Rabbi. Signature of the writer is unidentified. 7. Letter with Torah teachings from Rabbi Naftali Zvi Hacohen Schwartz, probably Beit Naftali to Rabbi David Sperber. 7 letter of assorted sizes and condition. Rabbi David Sperber, know as the sage from Brashov, was one of the greatest rabbis of Galicia and Romania. Born in Zbaltow in Romania in a family of Hassidim from Viznitz. Was a student of Rabbi Meir Arik. Became a Rabbi in 1907 and from 1921 became the Rabbi of Brashov. Wrote “Afarkasta D’Anya”. Became well known for releasing agunot after the Holocaust. In 1948 he immigrated to Israel and was among he heads of the Moetzet Gdolei Hatorah.
