The letter was sent from the Histadrut Agudat Israel Haolamit – Havaad Hapoel to the honourable Admorim of Sadigore, Rabbi Karlitz, Rabbi Tchdrovitzky, P. Feldman, I. Bendict on the subject of the enrolment of young women to the IDF. Rabbi Levin writes that he discussed with Prime Minister David Ben Gurion an arrangement and the agreements that were reached. “He promised me explicitly that young women will not be enlisted to the army” “Many of our daughters need to stay at home” etc. Typed on official letterhead and signed by M.
