Psak din on ritual slaughter, signed by rabbis of Ferrara, Italy. Signed by Rabbi Yitzhak Lemfronti, Rav Mordechai Tzahalon, Rav Shabtai Recanati, and more. Rabbi Yitzhak Chezkaya ben Shmuel Lemfronti (1679-1757), was a great sage of Italy and a rabbi of the Ramchal. Studied in the Padua yeshiva and the city’s university, where he learned philosophy and medicine. He was known throughout Italy as a scholar of both Torah and medicine. He was called “The Great Eagle, the Knight of Doctors.” He was the head of the Ferrara yeshiva. Composed the known Talmudic encyclopedia “Pachad Yitzhak,” one of the first encyclopedias in Italy, period. He worked on it for many years in order to gather every Talmudic and halakhic topic, all the sources from the Talmud and Rishonim. Lone volumes were printed during his lifetime, but the printing only ended around 100 years later in Berlin. Many edits also included answers from sages of Italy. He was also the first to found a journal “Bikorei Katzir Talmud Torah” but only three volumes were printed. Page has 9 lines, it was glued onto another page for preservation and reinforcement.
