Lot 407:
On letterhead of the draft office, approving that the students are students of the yeshiva Toratam Emunatam. The Gaon Rabbi Yitzak Ze’ev Soloveitchik (1886-1959), son of the Garach HaLevi of Brisk, grandson of HaBeit Levi, even during his father’s lifetime at a young age was considered a great sage and famous. At 16 he already knew the Shas by heart, with Rashi, and in 1920 (when he was 32) he was appointed to fulfill his father’s place in the Brisk rabbinate, he managed Jewish affairs in his city and the whole region. During the Shoah he was saved along with some of his children and moved to Jerusalem, where he rebuilt his yeshiva. His samchut was recognized throughout Israel and the world. His book, Chiddushei Maran Riz HaLevi, on the Rambam and the Torah was published then. Until today his books are a foundation in yeshiva study. Before us is only the bottom of the paper, with the signature and stamp. Generally very good condition.
