Exegeses and pshatim on the five books of Torah, by Gaon Rabbi Yitzhak Shor, Av Beit Din of Ta’asi. Only edition. On the cover is a note and signature “I bought this for 30 grushim, may it protect and help me, the young Yaakov Sukari, 1870.” He was son of the Gaon Rav Shlomo Sukari, grandson of Chasida Kadisha, the Kabbalist Rabbi Yaakov Anatebbi. Stayed up all night studyingTorah, composed Vayikra Yaakov, drashot on the Torah, Livorno 1879. At the end of his life he moved to Israel and died in Jerusalem in 1908. Three sections bound together. 54, 85, 73, 49 page. Cover before Genesis only. New cloth binding, cover is a little repaired, last pages repaired with light damage to text, moth marks, stains from moisture, generally ok condition.
