On the pages before the cover and the last page are lists in Sfardi handwriting signed “Yitzhak HaKohen” 2 covers, the first in pink. The last page in pink. Rabbi Mordechai ben Yaakov Abadi—was the rabbi of Rabbi Haim Shaul HaKohen Davik. Born in 1826 in Aleppo (Syria). Known as a miracle worker. Dedicated to the study of the revealed Torah and Kabbalah, wrote piyyutim, such as “Ani Asaper,” “Yoducha Melekh,” “Yom Ze Shiro Lo-le” “Mi Yimlol Azuz Gevurot,” “Mi L’Hashem Iti Orech,” “Meromim Yishkon,” “Mahalalkha,” “Mi Yimalel,” “MiKehilot Im Barchu E-l,” “Mikra Kodesh,” some of which were placed in the bakashot part of tefilla. Moved to Israel with a group of rabbis from Aleppo, lived in Jerusalem and was appointed among the leaders of Shirat HaBakashot in Jerusalem. In 1884 he died. Missing pages 40-57, tears. Moth marks, generally ok condition.
