Wonderful exegesis on Rashi’s commentary on the Torah by one of the ancients, Rav Avraham HaLevi Bakarat, an exile from Spain, which was composed in Tunis in 1507, was published by Rav Eliezer Ashkenazi from the manuscript that was kept in Tunis. Printed by the brothers and rabbis, Yaakov and Yehuda Shmuel Ashkenazi (Ish Tzaddik). On the cover is a frame designated for writing a dedication, inside the frame is written a handwritten dedication by the compiler. On the sides of the cover is the handwriting “as a souvenir to be safeguarded forever by the publisher..the young Eliezer Ashkenazi.” A handwritten note in the book, seemingly by the compiler. Rare book, (4) 102 page. Defective binding, moth marks, stains from time, generally ok condition.
