Psalterium Prophetae Dauisis, by Petrus Artopoeus—rare book of Psalms. Book includes introduction and indices. Petrus Artopoeus was the pseudonym of Peter Becker (1491-1563), a German theologian, student of Martin Luther, who was a member of the Christian Reformation. As a result of his worldview he was removed from the priesthood, he was crowned a “heretic” and his books were burned. Bound with handsome, old leather binding with the name of the book in golden lettering. 653 pages, 16cm, very few bits of moth damage, the binding is defective in the corners, tears on two first pages without damage to the text, the rest of the pages are in very good condition.
