Lot 394:
1. “Chinuch Beit Yehuda” 145 questions and answers by Rav Chanoch Henich Shneitoch, of which there are also Q&A by his father Rav Yehuda Leib. Frankfurt, Amsterdam lettering 1708, first edition. On the cover page is the signature of Rav Gaon Avner Yisrael the Frenchman. On page 50 is a long gloss on divrei torah, signed by Rav Shlomo Eliyahu Even Zur. Ok condition, defects and moth damage. Wear. 2. “Maleh HaRo’im” in two sections, Warsaw 1880. Good condition. On the title page is the signature of Rav Avner Yisrael the Frenchman. He lived 1827-1884, died when only 58 years old, a sage of Morocco of the 19th century, compiled a number of books, all of which by hand. Became famous for his kind deeds, his grave became a place of prayer for many Jews of Morocco. HaRav Shlomo Eliyahu Even Zur (1822-1873), another sage of Morocco, served in the rabbinate of Fez, all his books were full of glosses and notes. Different sizes.
