With Sefer Ashlei Ravravi, Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De’ah printed in Lemberg. Stains and tears, mainly in the corners. Various defects, overall ok to good condition.
New cloth bindings with matching inscriptions. The blank first pages have many notes, including “Ben Zion Halberstam, ” “Shlomo Halberstam Av Beit Din Babov, ” “Alter Shimon Arinetzt, ” “Tzvi Meir sho’el u’bodek Arinetzt of Krakow, father-in-law of the Naggid Reuvan sh’oel u’bodek of Ushpizin”, “Ephraim Israel Isser”.
These books came from the estate of the Chassidic kabbalist Rabbi Shimon Englander, and he received them as an inheritance from his father-in-law Rabbi Zvi Meir Arinetzt, who was a friend and fellow student of the Admor Rabbi Ben Zion of Babov when they studied together in yeshiva. The signatures which appear here are from when Rabbi Ben Zion was a young man or by others studying at the same time.
