No date listed, nor the name of the recipient. Writing in short lines, the rabbi addresses the recipient regarding the “invitation to Mr. Moshe Koppel Tennenhaus and Mr. Simcha Ruben of his community to appear before him, and to ask them…how much they needed to pay…for the 140 bags held by Zvi Bloomenfeld as they were worth when they were sold in 1923…” and he asks the Rabbi to clarify some details, ending with his signature. Note in the local language at the bottom of the page. On the back of the page is a list of calculations. Size 17x21cm. Tears, not damaging to text, the writing is smudged in parts but readable, creases and stains, generally ok condition.

The author, Rabbi Dov Beer Burnstein of Botoshan, wrote the Chochmah v’Mussar (1892-1974), was the son of Rabbi Yehiel Michal and son-in-law of Rabbi Meshulam Feivush Miasi son of Rabbi Yaakov Yitzhak. He was a rabbi in Botoshan, dayan in Tel Aviv in 1958. He authored many articles in Maggid—Satmar 1928.
