Long letter in nice Sefardi handwriting, on official letterhead, signed by the Rabbi David Ovadiya of Sefrou. From 28th Adar, 1949. Sent to the “Ra’avad Haifa” (probably Rabbi Baruch Markus, Av Beit Din of Haifa), in which the Rav tells a complicated story about a second marriage, and mentions severe laws in the Even HaEzer, ending on the back of the page: “from this parshah the Rav can see the crooked ways of the husband mentioned above, …[?]…to force him to send his wife a livelihood during her lifetime or send for her to come with him….I will end with blessings, with recognition.” Signed by hand with his official stamp. Size: 21x27cm. Included is the original official envelope from the Rabbi’s office. Upon it is listed the addressees in the Rabbi’s handwriting. Stain along the edge of the envelope, as well as stains and light tears, signs of folding, the text is readable and is clear, generally good condition.
