The author was Rabbi Aharon Walden (died 1912), who served as a rabbi in Warsaw. He corresponded with Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Kotzk, the Chiddushei HaRim and more. He also wrote Shem HaGedolim HaChadash and Mekadesh Me’at. His son wrote Niflaot HaYehudi. New binding, stains, tears, moisture damage, bad to ok condition.
